Meet the team

Having trained originally as a designer, he went travelling, as so many graduates do and basically didn’t come back, ending up spending a long time in a combination of Australia, New Zealand and across Asia. His wife is from New Mexico, so he has travelled extensively across the USA. His particular expertise lies in putting together complicated soft-adventure itineraries across the globe. Ross' goal is to help fellow travellers make the most out of their next adventure by creating flawless and detailed itineraries before they depart, meaning they can focus on every moment of their trip without having to worry about how they are getting to their next destination. The next countries on his hit-list are Tibet, Canada, Peru, Bolivia and Japan.

David, MD of the Great Experience Travel Group, is our winter-sports and mountain specialist who has been lucky to have skied and hiked all over the world. Although he loves many of the European resorts, his favourite skiing is to be found around Utah, but especially Snowbird. He has travelled extensively throughout Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, as well as spending time exploring the rain-forests of Borneo and Mainland Malaysia. He has a particular passion for Japan and all things Japanese, having spent more than 3 months travelling around the country. Amongst places on his ‘still to do’ list are visits to Namibia and exploring the Cappadocia region of Turkey.

Daniella is one of our European adventure team. She has lived and worked in Austria, as well as Finnish Lapland. Coming from a Swiss family, a love and respect for mountains come as second nature. She is a keen hiker, skier and snowboarder. On her ‘bucket list’ are Japan, the US and Canadian Rockies, and returning to her favourite city, New York.

Kyri is our in house social-media and marketing coordinator. Originally from Santa Fe in New Mexico, She spent most of her childhood exploring America, Canada and the great outdoors with her family. Kyri left America after graduating to travel the world. She has lived in Australia, New Zealand, extensively travelled South East Asia and recently completed a 22 day trek to the Everest Base Camp and is now creating plans for her next adventure. Kyri's bucket list is constantly growing! In the next few years she hopes to visit Finland, Iceland, Jordan, Africa, Myanmar, Mongolia and India.

Reg is our Africa Travel Specialist. As a born South African, but now living in the UK, he has more than 20 years’ experience operating travel programmes throughout the continent, and having served in the South African armed forces, he’s certainly not without his own experience of lots of first-hand adventures. Needless to say, he has a particular affinity with South Africa, but has travelled extensively throughout the countries of East Africa, and his Southern African neighbours, notably Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia, so he’s busy working on a suitably-exciting itinerary for David. His particular interests now focus on family adventures, and sharing his knowledge of the less familiar African countries, such as Uganda, Rwanda and Mozambique which offer particularly exciting opportunities for those people interested in stretching their comfort-zones, but being rewarded with amazing experiences if they do.

The front-line sales staff are supported by an extensive back-office team including Office Manager, Mandy, and Financial Controller, Keith, who bring their own particular areas of knowledge and expertise to making sure that everything works to bring you the greatest travel experience.
